What happens to the water that goes into your ears while swimming?

the water that gets trapped in your ear is really bad.. normally your ear works its magic and the water drips out, but if you cant get it out use an alcohol solution that will rinse the ear and then evaporate NEVER use a Qtip.. cause you can seriously hurt your inner ear

If the water stays in your ear you should try and get it out. If you don't the water may cause an inner ear infection. The infection is painful and may screw up you balance.

it'll drip out of your ear by itself...

It slowly drips out; it may not seem like it. But you usually feel like the water is gone after about 2 hours because it literally is.
