What is the greatest rugby test match series ever played?

1956 Test series between New Zealand and South Africa is legendary. The All Blacks had never won a test series against the Springboks prior to that. In the previous four encounters , the first two were drawn series, and last two won by the Springboks. In fact the Springboks had not lost a test series to anyone since 1891 ! The four match series , played in New Zealand , was won 3-1 to the All Blacks. All the games were hard, physical and brutal and actually caused a public hysteria , as New Zealanders got behind the National team to win a series, against her old foe, for the first time.

Off the top of my head the 2000 Bledisloe cup matches. 2 great games between the worlds best teams. 2 away wins for a drawn series and the Wallabies retained the trophy.
