Who is the strongest current Rugby union/league player?

How do can I train to be an outstanding rugby player in a country that has poor rugby standards?

  • I am 13 and I live in Malaysia (Sri Lankan-born). I want to play rugby as a career when I move to Australia. The thing is, Australia has a higher rugby standard than Malaysia. So if I begin my rugby education in a country with poor rugby, how can I train to be an outstanding player with an above standard average. I want to be a competitive player in Australia, but I don't think Malaysia is able to give me that kind of training. Any advise, please???

    i would move to new zealand we do have good clubs and great high school rugby teams and competitions but as for practicing search for clubs any practice is good as longs as you get practice tackling even if it is against a bad player its still tacklings practice but aussie would be ok if you need to move to aussie their rugby standard would be high than malaysia

Australia has a high standard??? ROTFLMAO!!! I would consider moving to NZ if you want to learn to play the game. They have very poor grassroots in Aussie and half their side come from league backgrounds.

At 13 you still have a way to go so when you come to Oz just pick your club. At your age you get plent of development from your coaches here. Rugby is strongest in the Eastern states though the Western Force are coming on well. As regards the other comment about all the league players, Tuqiri was a league player, and that is it in the Australian side. Barnes and Cross were both rugby players first.
