Whats tougher, ice hockey or field hockey?

  • i was arguing with my friend which one took my guts to play i thought feild but he thought ice i meanin field the goalies can tackle a player to the ground and i know of so many people how have got badly injured playing it i mean my friend was playing and he had to get some of his skull glued back on and i was at training and this guy split his eye brow clean because he got a hockeyy ball right there and i once hit a ball and it cracked someones shin pad so field must be tougher right? oh and how could i forget the ice hockey players get wrapped up it pillows nearly they wear helmets chest protection thigh protection shin guards a neck guard and all a field player wears is shin guards and a mouth guard oh and the ice hockey players wear nearly as much pads as the goalie for feild and trust me the ball goes a lot! faster in feild hockey. and the turf on the feild is very rough i fell over while going for the ball and got terrible cuts where as they play on smooth ice

Ice hockey players pretend to be tough by having "enforcers" fight and pushing and shoving each other. Hockey fans claim this toughness over other sports, because other sports don't fight. Of course, other sports don't fight because they don't want to make a mockery of the game, but hockey fans conveniently ignore that. The funny thing is, all these "tough" hockey players, if they were to meet up with a "wussy" basketball, baseball, or football player in an alley, it will be quickly obvious that those hockey players aren't so "tough" anymore.

Hockey pucks have gone up to 100 miles an hour if the players didn't wear protection there would be a possibility of killing someone someone! Yeah nice smooth ice! Ice hockey players or fast and falling on that ice without pads can hurt like hell! Not to mention with out a helmet. Or being hit from behind against the boards. Did you ever hear about that NHL goalie who got his throat cut by a skate? do I need to mention concussions? Mason Raymond of the Vancouver Canucks had an injury that could have ended his career and his ability to walk! That ever happened in field hockey? Now back to that nice smooth ice comment! Steve Moore got his face pushed into the ice! Guess what happened! A concussion and his career was over! Yeah it's soooo easy and safe being an ice hockey player!

Ice hockey it faster the puck goes fast your on skates which are hard to master... i personally play ice and in one game my friend shattered his wrist and i broke my hand there is the boards which when your about 4 or 5 feet away from the boards your head hits it and you get a concusion about a week ago my friend broke his spine this is in one season since about october we can go fast and stop on a dime (by another player) i have played with a broken hand before so its ice all the way.
