Pittsburgh vs. Philadelphia: The "Crosby Sucks" chants continue ...?

• Alright, so Philadelphia and Pittsburgh don't get along. We all know this. It's pretty much common knowledge in the hockey world as far as rivalries are concerned. We all know how the hockey world either adores or despises Sidney Crosby and there are as many fans who would love to see him become the greatest in the game as there are who would love to see him permanently injured and gone forever. The question: Are Philadelphia fans so obsessed, so seemingly hopelessly locked into this hatred of Crosby, that you would chant "Crosby Sucks" during the entire game tonight when the man isn't even on the ice? Does he bother the fans that much? Is there any player in the league elsewhere who receives the same kind of negative attention by a rival? I am all for competitive rivalries and love watching the Flyers take on the Penguins but has Crosby got so much of their attention that they would chant "Crosby Sucks" when the guy isn't even playing or even in the city? Has he gotten THAT far under their skin? Doesn't it seem a bit ridiculous?

  Besides for in Detroit, Bertuzzi gets booed EVERYWHERE. I Understand why people feel the way they do about him, but I bet A LOT of those fans in those cities either don't even know what he did, and they are just following everyone else's lead in the crowd, Or they don't know the Full Story (Naslund getting hit first, etc). Either way people don't like him, and I really honestly do understand why....but seriously, It's been years. I feel like the way the crowd reacts with Bertuzzi on the Ice, Boeing him, every single time he touches the puck, Is not only dumb, but OLD. Move on, Sucks what happened, we all know that, but he DID get a second chance, and he has been not only a great player, but on his "best behavior" too. That's also why I don't feel the same way as others about Matt Cooke...the people that are saying "No More Chances, He doesn't deserve to play"...really? Give him one more shot, If he screws up after, then Ok, get him out. I'm somebody that thinks people deserve Second chances...and for anyone that says "Well, he has been suspended before, so this isn't his second chance"....I blame that on the League for not giving out harsher penalties and just giving him 2/3 games. On to Crosby....I can't speak for Flyers fans, I know I wouldn't be doing that though. He isn't playing, I'd think it would be pointless for me to chant his name. But all fans of teams our different. If Flyers Fans want to do it, so be it. Do I think it's pointless? Yes. Detroits goalies always get chants. Not "Ozzy! Ozzy!". That's for us Wings fans. The other is "Ozzzzgood.....Ozzzgood". I've always thought it's lame, I have never chanted the other teams Goalie's name....I just cheer for my team when I go to a game. But, I always look at it as, well, even though they are saying his name trying to insult him, he's still being chanted by thousands of people! Must be popular lol. So I make light of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Penguins Fan AT ALL, and I Can't STAND Crosby, (I think he is a great player, but shoved down our throats way too much)....but I do hope he is getting better...I don't want his career to be ended. btw: Sry for my Bertuzzi rant, just saying how I feel lol
