How to start a girls field hockey team for my high school?

• I want to start a girls field hockey team for my high school. What would I need to get started? What season is it played in( spring fall summer)? What equipment would I need? What size goals and feild would we need? We have a soccer field n a football field so atleast we wont have to make a field. How could I get my school to start a field hockey team, would I just have to talk to the principle or the school board..? How would I go about starting a team?? Thankk you!

  Ask the principal before you do anything. It would cost alot out of the schools budget. Its very popular at my school though, so its a risk worth taking. Soccer field is fine, that whats we use. Nets, I don't know, but there smaller than soccer nets, and bigger than ice hockey nets. Talk to the principal!!!!
