IS THIS A GOOD HOCKEY TRADE?

Boyle for Gonchar and Dubinsky a good trade in fantasy hockey? Crosby returns!?

  • Hey there, in a 14-team H2H Yahoo fantasy league with stats G, A, +/-, PIM, PPP, SOG. I'm 3rd in the league and Crosby is returning for me tonight! I planned to originally drop a player to make room for Sid but decided to try and make a 2-for-1 deal first because a player I acquire would be better than whoever is on the free agents. Here is the possible trade. I get: Dan Boyle and give up: Sergei Gonchar and Brandon Dubinsky I think Boyle will be much better than Gonchar over the course of the regular season and I have Marchand and Phaneuf to replace the PIM Dubinsky gets. Also, I have enough depth at center with Crosby, Couture, Lecavalier that I feel I can make this trade. So to you all that play fantasy hockey, do you think this is a good trade for me? BQ: Are you excited for Crosby returning? I'm not a pens fan but I'm excited to see him play as it helps my fantasy team lol and just the fact that we can watch one of the best in the game on the ice again.

  • Answer:

Great trade. Gonchar is getting older, and I think he will eventually slow down. Dubinsky is good, but like you said. You have Couture,Lecavalier,Marchand and Crosby. Boyle will also get you more points. BQ:I am. I don't have him on my fantasy team :( I'm just happy that he's back and healthy.
