    I would keep weight training to a minimum if you're still in high school, as your bones are still growing and you can affect your growth. I would concentrate mostly on conditioning. Running distances doesn't help as much as sprinting does, so run at your top speed for 45 seconds, then walk for one minute, and repeat. This is very similar to the conditions and cardiovascular demand that you experience during a hockey game.
