What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving??

Hey Y! Answers hockey fans...what are you thankful for (in hockey) this Thanksgiving?

  • A bit of a fun departure from the usual fare. For our friends to the North, I already know you're celebrated Thanksgiving (but do you celebrate the U.S. version at all), but nevertheless, how will everyone spend their Turkey Day? Better yet, what are you thankful for, in terms of what the NHL has provided over the years?

  • Answer:

    - I'm thankful for 66 years of hockey...... - I'm thankful I had the opportunity to be in the NHL - I'm thankful that the NHL has provided for my family and I for almost 40+ (almost 50) years - I'm thankful that I can laugh with all my Red Wing buddies on this forum because MY team has clinched at least a tie in the season series - I'm thankful for most of Snoop's questions because they make people think I'll be a lot more thankful when - people stop asking who will win the Stanley Cup - people stop asking why such and such a team wears such and such a colour (In 2004-2005 nobody wore any colour - be thankful there's hockey) - people stop asking who is better Crosby or Ovechkin, all 30 NHL GMs pick Crosby...deal with it - The Chicago Black Hawks (the team with a logo NOT done by a 3 yr old) win the Stanley Cup, preferable in their red uniforms, defeating a team, led by either Crosby or Ovechkin

i'm Thankfull that my thanksgiving was last month and that i dont have to eat anymore of my aunts cooking. i have stated before, It WILL eat you if you dont eat it. hehe well in the NHL im thankfull for Mats Sundin being the best hockey player and person i know. he actually sent me a letter, i wrote to him one day, and he sent it back! with an auto'd picture and his autograph was on the paper and the picture. I realised how thankfull i was for Sundin when i was watching a 1993 montreal vs. Quebec playoff series, and Mats played well in that series, he took a lot of harp from his coach, but he still played, and im thankfull that the Nordiques didnt keep him, cause if they kept him until they moved to colorado i dont think he would have ever came to T.O

I'm not doing anything, my family doesn't really celebrate any holidays. If we did do something then I'd probably just cook a big dinner.(but I'm a great cook) I am thankful that the Duck and the Lighting started winning :)

well, we don't have Thanksgiving over the water but i'm thankful for a chance of being able to watch some hockey (it's only delayed live coverage, once a week, but hockey is still hockey) and also being able to listen to the games on nhl.com, it may keep me up til 4 or 5am but i don't care

I totally agree with TBL: I'm thankful for the game of hockey, the coolest game on Earth! I'm going to go to my little cousin's birthday party (she's turning 9! wait, or 10? lol), they are going to have the birthday party and the Thanksgiving meal all in one party.

im thankful that Alexander Semin is returning to the caps lineup tommorrow. His injury after the 3-0 start + poor pk+ incompetent Glen Hanlon+ inability to score has killled the caps so i think Semin will really be the boost the caps need to get out of this. Thats what im thankful for in temr of hockey
