How to use a Golf Scope?

How do you use a golf yardage scope?

  • want to now how you figure the yardage of the object while looking at with thr yardage scope?

  • Answer:

The typical cheap yardage scopes show superimpose two lines on the image you see. The straight horizontal line should be aligned with the bottom of the flag. Match the part of the curving line with the top of the flag. The number scale underneath gives you a yardage to the pin. NOTE: this requires that the flagpole is the standard height (8 feet?). You could substitute any other object for the flag ONLY IF it's the same height. Laser sighting devices don't have this limitation. They give an exact distance to whatever you point at.

i had one and gave it away. i decided to use my brains. yardages on the course is usually to the middle of the green. calculate is it up hill, wind, front middle back pin placement, are going to roll it up or flop it. up hill 10yds there abouts add, wind follow 5 yds less, front pin 10yds less, and so on. walk off from nearest yardage marker, the exercise will do you good.
