I am just starting to golf, I want to get my own set of clubs any suggestions? Plus a few questions. ?
-
So this question has been asked a lot, I know. BUT, I am a 16 year old girl just starting to get into this. I like it a lot. I have a few questions: 1. Should I get male or female clubs? I heard male clubs are stronger. 2. Am I too old to get started in golf? 3. What set of clubs should I get? Can you give me web site link to see the set? 4. Should I go to the store and get them or is it safe to order online? Thank you for all of the help. P.s. my budget for clubs is about $300.00 I would rather not but them all separately because I want to get good enough to play for my high school.

Answer:
1. most female clubs (with some exceptions) are male clubheads with a more flexible shaft. Depending on your swing speed, this may not matter. 2. No, you're not. 3 & 4. If you want to spend $300, try Pinemeadowgolf.com. They are clone clubs, and according to the website, only have slight changes in the looks to avoid copyright infringements. They're made in the same factories, with the same molds and materials, as the Big Companies. Go to a pro fitter, so you can find out the biggies (length of clubs, shaft flex, lie angle of irons, length of putter, loft of driver) to start out with. Take that information and go to the website to order your set of clubs. You can get some good clubs for around $300, possibly a little more, but not much. As for the website, they are very good. I've ordered a few things from them, and never had a problem. Their customer service is excellent, and their equipment is great. I've loved the clubs I've bought from them, and can't tell a difference from these to big-named clubs. If you're not comfortable with that, and you NEED the big names... TGW.com is excellent. They have clubs you can customize (the newer ones), clubs you have to buy "off the rack" (older ones), and used/demoed clubs for relatively cheap. Those can come in any setup or condition, so use caution if you go that route. Their website is another favorite of mine, with excellent customer service and an easy to understand website. Their online fitter is pretty accurate, as well. both websites ship very fast, by the way.

1.) You should not buy male clubs. Female clubs are lighter and better for women. 2.) You are not to old to start playing golf. No one is ever to old to start playing golf. 3.) You shouldn't buy an expensive set. Here is a set for 230.00 at Dick's Sporting Goods. http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3201085 4.) Buying them online or at the store doesn't really matter. You may find better deals online though.

I don’t think it is too late if you have at least 2 years of high school remaining. Recently I read on my son’s high school golf website that there is a tryout for the girl’s team but most will make the team. I think if you can get your average score below 90 you will make the team. As far as purchasing clubs, I suggest that you go to a Sports Authority to purchase your clubs for a great sale price and take them somewhere to have them fitted for you. I purchased a $500 set of clubs at Sports Authority for $170 and had Golf Galaxy extend plus re-grip them for less than $60. I suggest that you always go to the store to try the clubs and talk to the staff to assist you further. Also talk to anyone on the golf team to get their suggestions on club selection and golf balls. Good luck

1st you are never to late to start golf as a starter set i would recommend going on to ebay and typing in regular cavity back set and i don't think it will make too much of a difference if you get mens or women's clubs if you get regular shafts good makes to look for would be callaway nike taylormade mizuno srixon and macgregor i have probably left some out here but what are you gonna do? As for the rest i would make sure and get a good putter and don't worry to much about the driver because as you get better you can upgrade to a better driver Hope that helps!

Check out designerhandbagonline.net they have a wide range of golfing clubs from new and used they are very cheap and very good. I think I would recommend them to anyone for all their golfing needs. Plus when you buy from them they give 15 % to help fight cancer. What a deal you get the clubs you want and help fight cancer. Check them out. As for your age don't let that bother you I was almost 35 when I started golfing. Good Luck
