First and foremost, with REPUTABLE online companies (like D!cks, GolfGalaxy, ect), you dont have the opportunity to try out the club before buying it and dont really get a feel for how it looks and how it feels when you swing it (which is a big part of an amateur golfers game). You also have a lot of options as to the specs of the club when you buy them online (shaft flex, shaft material, iron combination) which can be confusing to a newcomer. do yourself a favor and go to a store. As for these online "cheap" golf websites that sell whole sale or discounted golf clubs, they are mostly counterfeit. As you make your way into hybrid, drivers, and woods (especially with todays technology), the mechanisms and anatomy of the club gets more complex which counterfeiting companies are not able to duplicate. You are getting a poorer quality golf club that will not perform well.
