What's the best bike for the trails?

WHATS a better bike for its price if i want to ride trails AAAAAAAAAANNNNND street?

    If you want to ride both trails and streets, then the best bike depends on the nature of the trails. If the trails are fairly smooth, then look into a hybrid. If the trails are a bit rougher, then look into a hardtail mountain bike. No matter what type of bike, the comptetitive nature of the business today makes it very likely that bikes at the same price point are equivalent values. When two bikes are the same price and you've test ridden both of them, then component selection is a good tiebreaker. HTH

Perhaps you could send links to the bikes. However, you might also check out the Giant and Scott sites for mountain bikes, or hybrids. You mentioned price. What is your budget?

That bike on that link is not good for trails or street riding, only the skate park.

You want a Cyclocross bike. I've attached an article with an explanation. You should be able to consider several in that price range. I've also attached an article on bike sizing.

i have a Haro, from 2005, i ride dirt trails, and pretty hard street. our trails consist of a couple of big doubles, like 25 feet, and i have slammed hard and it is good. Just throw some pegs on and you can go ride stree. just make sure you have 14mm's on
