What is the maximum weight a bmx bike can hold?

I'm thinking of getting a bmx bike for my boyfriend as an xmas present,as he recently said he wanted one.I've looked on websites such as trade it anda lot of ad descriptions have said that they're suitable for 8/10 years old.My bf is 20 and weighs about 13stone(he's not fat,he's a rugby player and boxer).Do you think a bmx bike will be suitable for him?

Don't get bikes that say that. BMX bikes are expensive. Anything under $400 won't be good. As for the original question, it depends on the bike. Cheap department store bikes will generally break if anyone over the age of 12 tries anything on it. The cheapest bmx bike I can recommend is the 2012 Kink Whip. It will hold up to most things.
