Is a 24t Sprocket compatible with a 16t rear cassete?

I want to get a small sprocket on my bmx...HOW?

  • ok so i want to put a 24t sprocket on my bmx but how...i figured you would need to get a smaller chin (where from) and do i need a new back cassete thingy ma bob...? :( please help

  • Answer:

try alansbmx.com for bits like that, if not there go into a local halfords where they can order specific bits like that in new rear cassette would be reccommended but isn't urgent. if you put 24 on front I personally would put about 12/ 13 n back but really depends on what sort of BMXing you're into, i presume vert/freestyle.

Other answers

If your looking to go that small i would recommend looking into Odyssey, they have a lot of parts for street (I am assuming that is you riding style). They have tiny sprockets and one piece drivers to allow you to go down to a 10 tooth in the rear. hope this helps.

Got Questions?

Ideally a 9 tooth cassette is used with a 25t sprocket. 10 tooth with 28t. See Danscomp, Albes, Empire BMX, ACE BMX, or Staff BMX for products. If you need advice, stick with Albes, or Empire BMX (call them).
