Why does the bottom of my foot pop when I stand up?

Bike crank pop when riding... Why?

• This has been going on a while... When I put almost any pressure on, the cranks jump and pop. It's annoying as hell. I've had the bottom bracket replaced as a result. It did it some, but it came back full strength and I was rediagnosed. As a result of that, I changed out the chain and the back cartidge (I forget, but it's what the chain rides on in the back wheel). Again subsided some. Now it's back full force. Popping whenever I put any pressure. The heavier the gear, the more pressure and more popping. I saw another person asking the same question about a Kona. I have a Kona Blast. He has the same symptoms as myself and his "best answer" on yahoo answers was "replace the bottom bracket", which I did. Any guesses? What else can I replace??? His question: When i stand up while riding my kona shred, i hear a click and feel the pedal under my foot kind of pop every single time my left foot is at twelve o clock then as it goes on to about eleven i hear some sort of popping/groaning sound. this doesn't happen when i am sitting down and it is starting to get really annoying because i almost ride standing up the whole time. the sound is either coming from the bottom bracket or the pedals but is probably the bottom bracket because i used to have the same problem on the other pedal.

  you might be flexing the frame a bit. if your a strong rider you may want to get youself into something a bit more stiff. hard to say. i had a Kona Major One and heard it once in awhile as well.
