What model BMX race bike should I buy my son?

  • I want to get my 4/12 year old son into BMX racing. He is average size (about 40" tall, and weighs 35 lbs). I want to know the best model bike to buy him (Redline, Free Agent, Haro, etc.) I want to buy him a used bike, I think its ridiculous to buy him a $300-$400 bike that he will out grow soon. Thank you.;

Hey! Well plenty of my friends to Racing. But most of them a really good, one is the the 8th best in the world Hehe Good race bikes range from Hypers to even ABD's. As other say, if he is a kid perhaps a Redline. There range from cheap to qiute expensive. Free Agents are no good if he is going to stick to racing Hope this helped Thanks!

My son 13 who did race, and is now into dirt jumping started on a mongoose then a GT now owns a DK dirt jumper. all three good bikes. The mongoose won't make ya take out a second mortgage. And my friend E-bay can help.
