  ok, i will tell you this right now, don't buy a mongoose or a haro they are just crap bikes. they will brake on you and they are just not worth the money. the best brands you are probably looking for are fit, kink, stolen, khe, we the people, eastern, dk, etc. if i were you i would check out the kink launch bike or the fit trl 1 bike, they are both great and some what inexpensive to a certain point. if you have money and are looking to spend it for a nice bike go check out www.danscomp.com and look at some of the brands i have listed. also if you really want a nice bike, try building your own. order the top of the line best parts from danscomp and you are guaranteed to have a good, light weight, durable bike. also you can get some nice USED bikes around your neighborhood by looking on www.craigslist.com and search in your area. good luck
