What do I have to do to get sponsored?

I really want to get sponsored for BMXing, and i was wondering how? What do I do?

you shouldnt ride just to get sponsored.. you should ride because you love it. chances of getting sponsored are very slip, not to say you arent good, but im sure theres tons of other 13 year old kids around the world that companies would love to have on there team due to progression

well ryan i would say your best bet is to go to a local bike shop and show them a video of all your best trick or upload to website like youtube,pinkbike, vimeo and vitalbmx

that depends are you good? If you are try joining a competition or two that has local talent scouts but you may have to be a bit older than 13.

if there arent any races where you live why would anyone sponsor you? they wouldnt be promoting their products, you go to the races, not the other way round. oh, and is your friend really sponsored by levi's? or is he just lying to you? no one would sponsor any one that doesnt attend competitions. i've been offered a small sponsorship(25% off on gear) but i didnt accept it because part of the deal would be me spending money on transportation to places all over my country, and with 1 comp every two weeks it would get pricy. so being sponsored actually is more of a hassle to you. if you're13 and can do what you say you do, wait till you have your own transportation, keep practicing, you'll be much better than you are now. good luck

Companies only sponsor the best riders that perform at competition's. They are not going to give you anything just because you want it. Nike wouldn't sponsor Tiger Woods if he just went to the driving range one in a while.

I would say you are going to have to travel to get to some competitions and make sure you always have a photographer there.
