How to do a bunny hop on a bike?

How do i manual and bunny hop on a bmx bike?

  • im a noobie when it comes to bmx.i have no clue on how to manual or bunny hop on a bike.i cant manual unless i pedal to get up higher. i cant get my back tire up when i try to bunny hop.can anyone help me with my problems and give me advice please.

    well, it took me almost 2 months to learn my bunny properly... if you cant get your abcke nd up, i would recommend trying back hops... lean forwrd on your bars, tilt your feet downwards on your pedals and trying pushing your bikes back end upwards, when you do this move to the next step... bunny hopping... to bunny hop, like the one before me said is an art of pulling up the front end and then your back end. try picturing something on the floor (put a thin piece of wood or some spray on the floor or somethin...) and pull your bars when you get near this thingy.. when the vision of the thingy is blockes, pull your back end. be ready to land with both your wheels... it helps if you crouch a bit and take it slow if you are still learning, just not too slow.. dont worry you will get used to it... for the manual i cvant help much because i dont do it much either... just pull up your bars and dont be afraid to fall or somethin.,... hope it helped....

Man this bring back memories.. I use to do this many years ago. Ok to bunny hop, it's hard to describe; it's a fine balance of lifting up the front and moving momentum forward to lift the back tire. But you know, I wouldn't bother. I use to get pretty banged up doing that stuff... Be sure you wear a helmet and be safe. And if you find it's too dificult, don't get frustrated, instead just ride, in the long run that's more cool anyway... Have fun and be safe.
