What kind of bike is this ?

What kind of Bmx bike should i get?

  • What kind of Bmx bike should i get? So recently i have really been wanting to get into riding and doing tricks on a Bmx bike. I have a bike of my own and was wondering if i should repair/rebuild it or just get a new one. I have a Power ma tic Schwinn and it seems like its maybe to heavy to be a trick bike but i dont know because i dont know much about bikes at all. Id really like to know if what i got is good or if i should just sell or keep it and get a new one. The only thing though is i dont have a lot of money and i dont know how much a new bike would be or how much repairing my bike would be. So id really like if someone could help me with my situation. Thanks(:

  • Answer:

a decent, entry level bmx bike is gonna run you about 300 dollars. that might not be something u want to hear but thats wat ur gonna have to pay, unless u look on craigslist for used bikes. if i were u, id go to ur local bike shops and check out dk's and haro's. get a haro 200.1 or dk cygnus those are pretty good beginner bikes. if u want to order ANYTHING online, get it from danscomp.com. if u are smaller (5'5" or less) id get a 20.25 top tube length, nothing bigger. just look out for any brands that are on danscomp.com on ur local craigslist.
