How do I fix my spy 5000m bike alarm?

I have the Spy 5000m bike alarm. I want to turn the alarm off, but the bike just re-arms itself after a few seconds. I want to know how to reset the alarm or keep it from auto re-arming using the remote. (The owner's manual doesn't say anything on this.)
