How to get Rodeo sponsors?

Can i get sponsors for mountain biking if a Semi-pro recommends me to potential sponsors?

• Do i have to win a race or something to get a sponsor. If i get a semi-pro mountain biker to recommend me then can i mabe get a bike from some less well known company. I dont have money to get a nice bike..i could do so much better..cause my bike has trouble shifting..great bike besides that. Bent the shifter and hasnt been the same since even though i got it straightened.

  It is you, the engine, that will win races. There are lots of riders on nice bikes that finish at the back of the race. There are also many incredibly fast riders, who have won lots of races, and have no sponsors. If you have never even won a race, I expect your chances of getting a sponsor is pretty slim. Getting sponsors requires an understanding of the bicycle industry and how you can advance their business. Sponsors don't invest in riders out of the goodness of their hearts. They want quality representation of their products to the cycling public. Until you can provide a solid business reasons you should be provided with money or product you will not be able to get a sponsor. In the meantime, you need to fix your bike, get in shape and start winning some races. Hope this helps.
