How do you ride a wheelie on a bmx bike?

Are the forks in the BMX bike just like the suspensions on the MTBs??and is it easier to do wheelie on a BMX??

  • I'm trying to figure out the forks and the suspensions, are the forks in BMX bikes the same as suspensions ?? Are the forks bouncy (for the good bikes) ?? and i can do wheelie and manuals on a MTB, is it easier to do it on a bmx ?? or is it harder because it doesnt have suspensions ?? also which one is heavier, mtb (hardtail) or bmx (that cost about 400-600 bucks) ?? thx in advance

I don't know exactly what you mean by "are the forks in bmx bikes the same as suspensions".. This could possibly answer your first question, no bmx bikes and mtb forks are very, very different.. unless it is a rigid mtb (one with no suspension) You can adjust alot of mtb forks to be harder or softer when it comes to suspension.. You can do wheelies and alot of other tricks on a MTB.. it is pretty easy to do a wheelie on a mtb since you can preload the suspension and use the bounce to lift you up.. Its a little different but its not exactly difficult. Mtbs will be a little heavier because they have more components, larger tires, and larger frames.. You can look at the Giant Yukon.. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-US/bikes/mountain/10/28076/ It weighs in at only 32 pounds for a good price (you can usually find them for 425 in some shops)..
