Where to buy a 52 cm road bike for under 250?

  • I've been surfing around the internet looking for a NEW road bike that is 52 cm. So far i've found many but they are all way to expensive for me. My budget is 250 at the most. any good websites where i can find one? and i'm just looking for a road bike to ride around the city, not on really long trips or racing or anything like that. Or even better, is there anywhere i can check it out and buy it in stores around San Jose, CA? I can fit a 52cm road bike with the seat down just about perfect will i be able to fit a 54cm road bike with the seat all the way down? it is ok if my toes are barely touching the ground and that would be even better because i don't have much money and i want to use this bike for when i grow taller so i don't have to buy a new one. thanks.

    A) Keep $aving B) Add a few more bucks & try Bikes Direct in the $400 & up class. Anything less will be junk.

Look for a used one a new $250 road bike will be junk. Edit: I forgot that bikes direct has bikes in that price range but highly recomend that you add a little more and get one with 24 speeds and sti shifters.
