What is a good bike light for riding at night?

How to add lights on bike for one sneak out night?

  • So you know the Hunger Games is coming out and my town is having a midnight premiere and I really want to go but my parents will for sure say no cause it's on a school night (Thursday-Friday). I'm planning to sneak out through my side garage door with my bike. I have everything planned out but I need to add some lights on my bike so I won't get run over or whatever. I don't have time to buy a expensive bike light thingy. I was planning to buy those cheap glow in the dark party rings and hook them around my bike but I'm not sure if that will do. Is there anyway to brighten up my bike? And is there anything I could add to my clothing too so I can let drivers know I'm bike riding? Thanks. and if you sneaked before is there any tips I should know? This would be my first time sneaking out but I'm going to "practice sneaking out" soon to see if I can get the hang of it and not get caught.

Riiiggghhhttttt! Ever hear of the 5th Commandment... you know of the 10? That little deal between God and man? Do what your parents tell you to do. Not gonna tell you more than glow in the dark anything isn't enough lighting for night riding, period.

good way to get grounded or killed party rings are a dumb idea at least wear white something reflective get a red blinky for the back wear on your shirt or belt the problem is front lights if you can go slow, a $20 light will work to go over 15 mph it takes about $50 worth of front lighting at least if you really want to see the road anyway bad idea maybe walk find someone with a car and ask your parents!! wle

Thats doooooopppppe mother f-ing adventure time ya just tape some glow sticks to your bike and you probaly already have reflectors on it to which help be safe but party rage face adventure Who gave me a thumbs down >:( grrrrrrrrrr

ah, that scenario brought me back. What you should do is get some of that reflective metallic material that some raincoats have on the sleeves and wrap it around your legs, arms and wherever you don't feel safe. remember to always wear your helmet and ride on the left side!!

Kieran

They make reflective tape to put on clothing for biking at night. But you should just ask your parents.
