How many bike locks should I get for my fixed gear bike and what kind(s)?

  • I'm purchasing a 280 dollar fixed gear bike and I was wondering what kind of bike locks would work well in public areas like the mall, a school or practically anywhere. I would also want to know the quantity of how much bike locks I need to sub stain a secure protection for my bike against outside thieves.

    Depends on the area. In my neighborhood - nobody would want a cheap $280 fixed gear. So you wouldn't even need a lock! OnGuard & Kryptonite both make fine U-Bolt locks. Get one of those & use it in conjunction with a thick cable or chain.

braided cable lock with a bulldog lock its the one with the small shackle lock top hard to cut but you want to get braided cause then instead of the cable being straight and easy to cut braided will make it aloot harder to cut it and make it fairly long too from front wheel threw frame threw the back wheel to where the other end is to lock it and take the seat with you people steal seats
