How long before Sachin Tendulkar crosses 15,000 Test runs?

  • Sachin Tendulkar is targeting 15,000 test runs. But given his form, he may achieve it in another 2 years or so. (provided, he play in all of the test matches India play) http://www.cricinfo.com/india/content/current/story/418098.html He's hungry for more. Another one of his cricketing ambition is to win the ODI World Cup. I'm not sure about the World Cup win, but sure he will cross 15,000 test runs. What are your thoughts on it?

5 years ago it looked like he would pass 15000 by about now, he has slowed down a lot the last few years although he had a very good 2008, he will need to get cracking or there are a few guys that might get there before him.

I hope he does achieve that target sooner than 2011 and bring back the World Cup to India in 2011. But even if he doesn't, we will be proud of his achievements and he will be eternal in our hearts.

I couldn;t agree more. Sachin will achieve what he has set out for himself. When he starts playing, he will hit away. He might stop ODI after the WC. and play tests.

He won't cross 15k runs by 2011 WC, he will need to play a little bit longer.

I predict that Sachin will die from old age by the 2011 World Cup. Hopefully he doesn't accumulate 15k runs by the time he retires. I don't want him to retire with any sort of satisfaction.
