Tennis challenge rule?

How do u view the idea of introducing tennis player call rules in cricket?

  • im not a huge tennis fan.but a huge cricket fan?yes.i've seen the new rules in tennis(in all major grandslams and atp/wta tournys).its that wen a player wants to argue with the umpires decision then the umpire refers it to the third umpire or the big screen on the field.considering the fact that big screns are installed on the major cricket grounds ..y not introduce this rule where a batsman can argue for a limited no. of times against an umpires decision?or even vice versa.i.e the fielding captain has the power to challenge a decision for a fixed number of times(so that the challenging doesnt get out of control)its high time the ICC stops siding with the egos of umpires and started recognizing justice and fair results.its the year 2008.start using more technology for heavens sake!any comments?(both indians and aussies may comment ;-) ..n the others too)

  • Answer:

I agree some decisions need to be taken. Now as Cricket is no gentleman's game any more thus it is very much required to take some precautions to avoid the issues that happened in 2nd test.

Other answers

As it is cricket is an unusually long game....Test cricket can last 5 days...you don't want to give players an additional excuse to waste time...things have to run smoothly and fast

Idealist

good idea but then maximum/min overs in a day be reduced to 50
