Why are the cars in the US cheaper than in India?

Why only crap cars like sx4 in sedans and wagon r in small cars category are the most popular in india?

why not quality cars corrola,civic,lancer etc in compact sedan class and toyota vitz (echo) etc in small cars class.

How come you think only Sx4 & Wagon R are most popular cars in India. I have a Toyota Altis, Ford Fiesta & in the process of buying an SUV. Altis is newer model of Corolla, your fave car. Honda does pretty well in India. Civic, City, Jazz, Accord are available & doing well. Renault is also available, so is Volvo, VW, you name it, all makes & models are available. Pl have a look at the full info, every car mentioned here has a showroom in Gurgaon, Delhi NCR, where I live, including Jag, Rolls Royce etc.
