How do I use a picture instead of my avatar for chat?

Is it right to use someone else's picture as your avatar picture?

I notice some users using the pictures of movie stars and other famous people as their avatar pic. Couldn't this result in 'defamation of image'? For example, lets say a very abnoxious or offensive user starts using the picture of Joe Moviestar. Even though you know that the pic is not actually that of the user, at a subconcious level you come to associate Joe Moviestar's picture with that offensive user. And so Joe Moviestar's image is being defamed by that user - subconciously. What if this can influence people - subconciously - to be less inclined to watch new movies featuring Joe Moviestar? What are your' thoughts on this?

While I don't think the superstar would consider it defamatory, the user still looks so "wannabe".

I suppose it would be up to the moviestar to complain if he/she had a problem with it just as they would in real life. basically if it impacted their life in a detrimental way and it was traced back to an avatar action would be taken. but I don't think they'd think it'll ever become that serious.

I WOULD BE EXTREMELY PISSED IF SOMEONE ELSE USED MY PICTURE - and would consider suing them over it too. To me, that is just as wrong as identity theft.
