• Ok so the Teamsters have been linked to the mob/mafia since and probably before Hoffa...so I was wondering is it still this way?? Are the Teamsters still involved in that stuff??

  Hi, as a former teamsters who use to belong to local 237 according to Ron Carey who was the president of the teamster union before James Hoffa jr. took over the teamster union, he got rid of all the people that had any connections with the mob and took away all their perks, james hoffa jr went he became president of the teamster union and the rank and file and the public was saying that another hoffa in charge of the teamsters union meant a return to the old days when the mob/mafia ran the teamsters and was cleaning out the pension fund, hoffa responded by saying that the mob/mafia was responsible for the death of his father and that their wont be no such activity going on during his tenure well whether he meant what he said time will tell.
