Where to find a community calendar?

• I am trying to find clubs or groups to join in my city, I have checked the local paper but can't find anything. Where would I find a community calendar?

  Do an internet search. Most cities have a city website with links to community events. Search for: "city of _______" or "community events _________" (obviously, fill in your city's name in the blank) Also, most cities have those local freebie papers you can find at restaurants, bookstores, the library, etc. They usually have the current month's events listed. Other than that, what are your interests? If you like shooting pool for example, you could join a pool league. Or maybe you like to play or listen to live music, often coffee shops or bars have open mic night where you can perform or just listen to others perform. Lastly, call the chamber of commerce and/or the visitors bureau. They may have lists of classes, clubs, and local events. Good luck!
