Did you ever go to a school or college like this? If so, did any of you have any similiar experiences. Please list the name of the high school or college you go to and the state it was in? Here is what I am talking about: My professor at my local community college breaks us into groups sometimes. About 50% percent of the time depending on who is in what group, I find that the students in my group isolate me in some way, or ask me something strange. Let me explain specifically what i am talking about: In the sociology class i took class year, 10 seconds after we got into the groups assigned by the professor, this one guy asked me in a very sarcastic way, "Do I like guys", He would repeatedly say this until i got angry and told him no. And then he later asked "Do I like balls." He eventually stopped. I am the opposite of attractive and i am geeky looking. No gay guy would ever be interested in me. So my point is, i know he wasnt trying to hit on me. He was just trying to mock me or just his way of being funny towards me. In another class called Speech Communications class where none of the students knew me cuz everyone in the class was knew TO ME. (maybe some knew each other but i didnt see them before). One of the students in the group i was assigned to moved their chair a considerable distance away from my chair. No one did this in any of the other groups. The other class I took which was criminal justice which was a couple semesters after that, this one guy said to a girl in my group "ignore that guy." (and keep in mind i do look geeky and everyone in all the groups i have ever been in the students there are not geeky.) also, my community college has a 21% graduation rate, so you can imagine the kinds of students that are there. Often times students in different classes will give teachers a hard time. The current class i am taking called applications in mathematics 103, 4 of the students continually have conversations with each other (they sit next to each other) while the teacher is teaching the class. It doesnt bother me cuz they they talk lightly, but recently the teacher yelled at this one student to be quiet cuz he got louder than normal and he wasnt talking about anything educational. But even if they were talking about something educational or something like that, they are not suppose to be talking when the teacher is teaching. The class does have time to talk to each other before class, after class, during break, and when we break into groups. But this does not excuse anyone to CONTINUALLY talk while the teacher is teaching. In the speech communications class I took, the teacher told the student to move his desk closer to the group. (the student's desk is very easy to move). The student didnt want to move his desk towards the group. The student stayed in his chair and wouldnt move. So the teacher decided to drag the student's desk with the student sitting in it. The students there in my college are not the worse type of students in schools. Some of them just interrupt and sometimes dont obey the teacher if the teacher tells them to break into groups. The students try to be funny. They often times laugh and think they are sort of cool. One of my professor in one my other classes, said that one student in her class was sent to the dean because she walked out of the class cuz she didnt want to put her coat on the coat rack, she had put her coat somewhere we she shouldnt have.

Answer:
I only read part of it. Its too long. But remember this, just because your in college doesnt mean you will be around smart people. Some of the most ignorant, f cking immature, stupid people I met was in college. Hang in there you'll be fine.

I go to a college similiar to this. It's considered a University and seems like a university when looking from the outside, but overall the people there are rejects and snow birds who come down from the north to get away from the cold. Anybody can get in. The problem with small universities and community colleges are that they have the rejects of the actual larger "better" colleges, so it will be like high school since all the delinquints are there. If you are like me and decided to go to a nearby college to save money or something, definitely transfer to a "real" college because from what I can see in larger universities people actually want to go to class and learn. I don't fit in either. I'm not geeky, but I'm not white in the majority white school and it seems like everybody knows eachother already so I'm usually sitting alone during class while everybody is chatting and laughing. Just ignore it like I do, if you can. Just mind your own business. I avoid small classes altogether so i will have a smaller chance of having to deal with being in groups and take large lecture classes. Just mind your business and get over the face that there are douchebags everywhere, unfortunately. I have to deal with girls which may be worse than dealing with guys. Girls will scrutinize what I wear because I dress a tad different, not drastically different, but a little aways from the campus norm which is a surfer school. Transfer out if you can and join clubs when you do, you'll definitely find your niche. Even though I haven't yet. :/ Good luck!
