How do you make a stable?

How much do you have to make a year to be stable, middle class, high middle class, rich, or high rich?

  • I was wondering what you have to make to be stable financially, middle class, high middle class, rich, or high rich class? Also, what is a "poor" income. Just wondering because I want to know what financial class my family is in. Finally, do doctors make a lot of money? How about teachers? Firefighters? Sorry Im picking a career. Those are my top three and Im trying to decide by financial stability. Thanks so much!(:

  • Answer:

It depends on where (and how) you live, and how many are in your family. The poverty level for a single person is $10,830 or less; for a family of 4, it's $22,050 Middle class, upper middle class and rich vary according to where you live. If you live someplace where the average mortgage is $3,000 a month, you'll need to make more money to live a middle class lifestyle than you would if you lived someplace where the average mortgage is $800 a month. I think that in most places, if a single person makes $50,000 they can live a decent middle class life and a family of 4 making $80,000 should be midle class. I think a single person making $100,000 is upper middle class and a family of 4 making $150,000 can live an upper middle class life.
