What is also known as the Marathon Battle?

At the Battle of Marathon ?

B. the Athenians refused the help offered by the Spartans, were outmatched by the Persian army, and had to yield on the field of battle in disgrace. I think the answer is A. but I'm a little unsure. Help please :)

A. but it worth noting that they were not alone. The Athenian army was joined by armies from several smaller city states, and they didn't fight the entire Persian force. The Spartan navy defeated the rest (which was technically "on loan" from Athens anyway).
