December 21, 2012: The End of Days?

• What do you guys think about the world ending. I am young, 16 years old, so I was too young to understand all the hype of Y2K and how the world was going to end at the millineum, but I'm curious. I've watched many, many persuasive documentaries about it. And it sounds like its possible. There are deffinately things to back it up. The Mayan Calender predicted many events. The Rise of Rome, Fall of Sparta, even the 9/11 attacks. The last day that was showed on their very acurate calener (which predicted things 1000's of years in advance) ends on December 21, 2012. And is titled, "The End of Days." There was some guy who predicted all the popes by name, 100's of years before they happened. he said the pope after the current pope will aid in the destruction of the world. His name is "Petrus." Another theory is that, if you didn't notice, is the Winter Solstice. Supposedly, once every 28,500 years, (December 21, 2012), the poles will reverse. making North south, and South north. What is supposed to happen, is that we will be lined up with a black hole in the universe, and polarity will reverse, pulling water levels higher than you could ever imagine, earthquakes...and anything you could ever imagine. Because I remember learning in Biology last year, that once the earth has reaching carrying capacity (which it is at right now), there is always a sharp decrease in population. So please let me know where you guys stand on this, I think it is a very interesting, but delicate subject. Especially now...Obama is most likely going to win :( ...And his last full week in office as president, happens to be the week of December 21, 2012. The prophecies all said that the man who will end the world, will be a world power, which is obviously the U.S...so what better than the leader? Everyone will like him at first, which is happening, and then he will do something drastic, which will change the world. And with congress being democratic, whatever Obama says, congress will pass... So please, let me know what you think!

  I will make it as short as I can. No, the world will probably not end. It is possible, but so is the world ending tomorrow. We will never know, no matter how many claim it's real or fake, until the date comes. Prophesies aren't real either. Why not? Well, just because somebody said the world will end over 2,000 years ago, doesn't mean it will come true. So, if Obama or McCain wins, it doesn't mean that they will be the downfall of the world. Maybe a farmer out in China will be. We will never know until that date comes. Quite simply; The world will probably not end on December 21, 2012, however, it is quite possible and has evidence supporting it.
