What are some good ways I can promote fundraise for my charity?

    very few people give to causes they don't know so the best way ton raise money is locally where people know you or your cause and can see what is happening with their money. Use your site to tell more about your charity - what you do, whether it is a 501c3 and can give a tax receipt for donations, pictures of ways you help, send info to local paper, radio,TV, community web site about what you do. Consider bake sales, car washes, music shows, spaghetti suppers, selling donuts etc.

The only way to raise fund is to ask and then prompt donors to act. I must say it's a vocation meant for extroverts with really thick skin. Emails and websites are not that effective from my marketing experience, especially emails definitely need follow-ups. Here are some ways that I have seen others do: (1) Liaise with local religious groups and see if they can pass the message to their congregation members in a service and collection can be made at the same time. Some may even give you a one-time donation. (2) Rent a kiosk space in crowded malls or street fairs, then send volunteers to get people to donate on the spot, and if you have charging facility for credit cards, it's even better.
