DOes anyone know of any free volunteer programs abroad?

Does anyone know of any out of the country summer volunteer programs?

• I am looking to do this next year over the summer, I would be almost 17...I want to make a difference in other peoples lives and I think I desperately need a change in my outlook on life. I know churches do mission trips, but I was really hoping to go with an organization. I am not a fan of my church's mission trips. I believe they make them more about the volunteers having fun and feeling comfortable as opposed to really making a difference in the lives of others. I think that's wrong and I would even like to be pushed out of my comfort zone. I would love for it to be a few weeks or maybe even a month or two, but any time is great! Does anyone know of any great organizations? I live in Georgia by the way :)
