Is it difficult to raise a family while studying?

How can I raise money to help build water wells in Dar fur Africa?

  • After much research about people dying of thirst and the atrocities being committed against innocent people, it is uncomfortable for me to be a privileged person living in safety and blessed by the comforts of home. The same spirit that drove someone like Mother Teresa to raise money to build orphanages and take care of the sick and dying burns within me. I cannot leave my husband and family and start a charity organization, but I do have an idea that would provide a steady source of income for the sudanese refugee people. My husband is an electrical engineer and math genius. He does not have the tender heart syndrome. He will be retiring in a few years and started studying investing. Whatever he puts his mind too, he usually becomes an expert. Now he's got investing down to a science (pardon the pun) and making great % returns on His hard earned $$$. He's gotten so good all our relatives are coming to him for help. He's teaching them about their 401ks and what to look for to protect their hard earned money. But the best part is one day he mentioned if I could raise $10,000 he could get me a return of $1,000 per month. I thought, "wow I could send this money to help the refugees and displaced people in Dar fur, Africa. So this is where I'm at. If I could get a dollar from well meaning people, we could make a big impact in the world. I would also like to get donations from Muslim individuals, this war in Africa is blamed on Muslim leaders. We all know Hitler was raised Catholic and that's my religion, so you see there is evil, greed and selfishness in every faith. It just reminds us that human nature can be very self serving and hateful. It doesn't make spirituality wrong. We must always seek good in everything. It would be wonderful to say I got all my donations from caring, God loving people that are not hateful as the media projects, and they also want harmony and peace and to be left alone to worship in their own private personal way. That there is hope and that most mature adults just want to treat others the way they would like to be treated (with personal dignity). Check out this website to see where my inspiration came from.( http://www.bishopgassis.org) I leave everything to divine providence. My favorite saying is "HELLO THIS IS GOD, I WILL BE CONTROLLING THE UNIVERSE TODAY AND WON'T BE NEEDING ANY OF YOUR HELP", love God... Well I believe In this case our universe has made such a mess of not sharing it's resources, I feel the need to bring some water to the thirsty. I feel the guy upstairs left us a perfect world run by imperfect people and we must help each other one situation at a time. I guess I've made this my situation. [email protected] P.S. If anyone knows George Clooney please forward this message to him...maybe he can make a donation too...lol...he also supports this cause...He was raised Catholic too ekkk...don't tell him I told you..Our faith kinda puts a soft spot in our hearts to help others less fortunate.

  • Answer:

Go google World Vision, a very great organization that helps people all over the world. I'm a Christian and I love helping people! Anyway, you can donate a certain amount of money that will be used to help build wells.
