Help on volunteer application.

Need help with volunteer application...?

• I'm 14 (going to grade 9) and was thinking of volunteering at the library so I could get ahead on my required community service hours, and have some experience for future summer jobs. So I filled out the application with all the usual information (name, contact info, prefered library and time, etc.) but one of the questions asked for "Volunteer Experience". It didn't ask for references or anything, just this: "Volunteer Experience: _____________________" The problem is, I'm only 14, and I'm too young to have volunteered at different places, and I was hoping this would be my first volunteer job. There hasn't been any big events in my school where I said I've volunteered either, but I guess saying that i need community service hours for the school program would help, but I still have until grade 12. What should I write there (I have no experience) and what to do!

  If you have helped around the house, put that in. If you have been inspired by a volunteer on TV or other media, you might relate that.
