What should I do (volunteer wise) to get involved with becoming a nurse?
-
I'm still in high school but I know I want to become a nurse. Although I am not sure about what type of nurse, I want to go through some programs or other volunteer work to help me get involved with hospital work. Also to help me figure out which specific nursing I am interested in.

Answer:
call your local hospital and talk to the volunteer department and ask about jobs that could help you get to your goal. Or call the hospital foundation and ask what scholarships are available and tell them what your goals are. Ask them what to do or who can help you within the hospital. If you love old people there is a Big demand for Geriatric nurses who specialize in Dementia or Stroke patients.
