Volunteer work for a 13-year-old girl?

Where can a 15 yr old girl volunteer to do any work?

  • it can be anywhere. im mainly focusing on helping people. it can be young kids, or the elderly, it doesnt matter because i like to help people period. so where can i go? i dont even hav to get paid, im jus going to volunteer. so please help me thanks! im doing this because this summer im jus doing basketball and with my family and friends and i need to have more activities. so thanks in advance =)

This is making the best of your situation Stef. It looks good on a resume like your making the best of your time. If I were you I'd crack open your phone book. All the socities are listed there. Pick the ones that most interest you. Talk this over with your parents and if their ok with it call some organizations up. Tell them how many hours you would like to give, What you would like experience doing (again looks great on a resume) AND helps people out. The other thing you could do whenever you have time is fundraise. Do a year sale/ BBQ/ cookie dough or chocolate bar thing and donate the money to someplace. You can do this in your free time with no stress. Did I mention it looks good on a resume? LOL Good luck and have a great summer

You can volunteer at the ASPCA, the library, the zoo maybe, maybe help out at the hospital, or you can try working at diners, or maybe even some babysitting or pet sitting. I have to do volunteer work too! Oh and if you live in San Francisco you can go to St. Anonthy's Diner, the San Francisco Zoo, Presidio Park, or at a church closest to you(and when i mean closest i mean near you). hope you have a great summer too! :)

First you should decide what you want to do. Teach or learn new skills. Then call your local Chamber of Commerce, they will direct you to companies and organizations who need volunteers. This is a great way to meet and help new people. Congratulations on becoming a useful citizen!
