Is tourettes syndrome genetic?

Are there charities to donate to for a cure for tourettes syndrome?

• My bestfriend has tourettes syndrome, and I have been saving up and I really want to donate to a charity in thought of her.. One that is looking for a cure for tourettes, but im not sure of any charity like that. Is there any charities looking for a cure for it? If you know of one, could you leave the name or it, and a website or number of some-sort if possible? Thanks so much :D
