What are some good outside of school activities?

What activities can i do outside of school?

  • i'm looking to transfer from one high school to another, and the high school i want to transfer to is a bit prestigious and on the high school application it says what activities do you do after school? or outside of school. i already do extra curricular activities, but i want to do more things out of school, to keep me entertained and busy, as well as increasing my chances of getting into this high school. does anyone have any ideas on what i should do? i live in chicago, and i'm fourteen. is there anywhere i can volunteer?

Find a homeless shelter and ask to volunteer. Churches also can help steer you to community activities that can help people also.

Im volunteering at the local nursing home. They love teens to come help them out Good Luck :)

You can also be in Student Council that helps the school

If your not into sports think about learning sign language and volunteering in area's that deal with deaf kids. This teaches you a skill you might be able to use in your future someplace, looks awesome on high school and college resumes, can be a great public service without worrying about contact with the sick or disturbed. Nice clean work you don't have to be out in the snow or cold for - and best of all you get to play with kids your own age all day and learn something about living a life from a perspective you would never understand otherwise.
