What questions should I ask a volunteer?

What kind of questions do they usually ask at interviews when your going to volunteer at a hospital?

  • I am going in a couple of days for an interview to volunteer and I have no idea what to expect. Has anyone been to one and know what they talk to you about and what questions they ask.

  • Answer:

Questions vary, depending on the hospital, the person asking the questions, the service you are going to provide, etc. One guarentee: -- Why do you want to volunteer here? Other questions that may be asked: -- Tell me about an experience where you have helped children -- Tell me about an experience where you have helped an elderly person -- Tell me about an experience where you have helped someone who was sick or injured -- Tell me about an experience where you have been under a lot of stress and how you handled that situation -- What days of the week, and what times during those days, do you want to volunteer with us? -- How will you get to and from the hospital? -- How will you meet your commitment to volunteering and also complete your school work?
