I can't watch my dvds.

Can i donate my old dvds to the library?

  • I have a bunch of old disney dvds and kids dvds that i dont watch anymore. They are in the case and I keep them in really good shape like not even a single scratch on them. I thought about selling them but i just cant put a price on them and just sell them as a whole. I would rather donate they to the library but i dont know if they even accept dvd movies. I know they have dvd movies that they loan out? Does anyone know if i should try and donate these dvds to my local library?

    I think that's a great idea - just call the local library and ask them what you need to do / where you need to take them. You could also try a local hospital or charity (even a nursing home - when families visit, it's nice to have something that they kids and watch with their elderly relatives). Good Luck!

Most local libraries accept donations, and would probably be grateful for them! Call your library and ask for details on how to donate or what they require...this should be tax deductible too, so get your receipt for the donation!

That's really nice of you. They would most likely love to have them, particularly since they have some there already. Ask them for a form to add to your taxes (your donation will be tax-deductible). If, for some weird reason, they don't accept them, I would try going to a local nursing home and donating them there.

You probably can donate your dvd. Depending on your local library though. Most libraries take donations especially if the dvds or books are in good shape. Make sure you have the right dvd in the right box though.

Yes, you can. I have done that before, with DVD's and also albums. If you want, you can get tax rebates for it to (with proof of purchase).
