Do you know of any free volunteer abroad programs?

Next year I plan on taking a year off from school to volunteer abroad. Im not interesting in volunteering in Africa, South America, or Asia. I would like to volunteer in Eastern Europe. Every site Ive been to you have to pay (quite a bit, might I add). Being that Ill just be out of highschool, I don't have thousands of dollars to go help out somewhere. So, if you know of any programs that involve working in orphanages, teaching english, or helping with wildlife protection for free or cheap, drop me a line please!

Well, you mentioned wild life protection. A good place for that will be in Africa, unless you choose to volunteer with a local zoo. As for going in Eastern Europe or many places, you usually have to pay for the program fee. They use that money to fund the program as well as cover your living expenses.
