What are some good charity organizations to donate to?

First of all, that's awesome of you to want to do this! There are plenty of great organizations out there that can use your help. Judging by your name, my guess is that you are Indian. If you'd like to donate to a good Indian charity, I have two recommendations: Ekal Vidyalaya is a fantastic charity and so is CRY, America (Child Rights and You). Ekal Vidyalaya focuses specifically on building schools (vidyalaya) for kids in rural villages in India. CRY gives money to grassroots organizations that help kids go to school, get fed, avoid abuse/exploitation, and receive access to proper health care. For other charities, my heart goes out to St. Jude, Children's Research Hospital (which provides free care for children with cancer) and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Acadiana (a mentoring organization). Both have received very high ratings with respect to their use of donated funds. They also make a big impact on kids who need help. I hope you find a great cause to donate your money to!
