Doing a bat mitzvah project?

What charity project should i do?

  • I have to do a service project before I have my bat mitzvah. It has to benefit people(not animals) so I would like to give money to Haiti. Where would I donate things to Haiti? What should I do to raise money for Haiti?

There are many things you can do raise money, car washes, lemonade stands, bakery, and you could talk to some people at your school like a a principal and ask them if they would be willing to set up some type of donation that whole school can participate in. There is also something on MTV where there having a fundraiser for haiti.

You can put out cans for collecting coins in a lot of public places, hold a bake sale, have a big yardsale and ask for items from all of your friends and family so it brings in a lot of money. There are many people who would love to donate to Haiti right now, so merely collecting money would most likely raise a great deal. As for where to donate, I'm not sure, but if you do a Google search for your area I'm sure you can find something out. Good luck!
